Our Story
Chitrakar Gramodyog brings to you over 35 years of experience in making quality aromatic FMCG and ayurvedic & herbal FMCG products. We are an R&D oriented manufacturing company based in Bengaluru City and founded by Shri M K Maskara, an engineering graduate (B.E.) of the 1973 batch from Indian Institute of Technology (Varanasi) India, who was selected through the Union Public Services Commission and worked for 10 years as a Senior Scientist in Defence Research, before taking charge of the exports-wing of his uncles’ fragrance business. On being sponsored by the Karnataka Khadi & Village Industries Board, Govt. of Karnataka, for his desire to pursue a business with a social-welfare objective, he started Chitrakar Gramodyog in 1988, an Incense Sticks manufacturing unit, with a meagre finance of Rs. 30,000 only. The training of ‘defence & discipline’, his passion for R&D and his fair & transparent business practices never made him look back since then, and now, under his able guidance, the second generation, which is equally qualified, is at the helm of affairs and shares his vision and enthusiasm.
Today
Today we make an entire range of aromatic FMCG products like incense sticks, dhoops, fragrant sachets, air-freshener cakes, aromatic-beads, aroma-oils, spray perfumes, air-freshener sprays, essential oils etc., besides ayurvedic & herbal wellness products like 100% pure and natural Body Massage Oils & Hair Oils and Natural-Extracts-Enriched Hand Washes and Shampoos, which are sold across markets in India, Australia and parts of Eupore.
In the year 2000, a new company - Chitrakala Fragrances, was also founded for our focused effort in the Consumer Fragrances Business. We provide institutional perfumery solutions for the hospitality industry and aromatherapy solutions for the health & wellness industry. The product portfolio spans aromatic products like high-performance air fresheners, bathroom fresheners, carpet fresheners, specialised fragrance oils for diffusers and also laundry fragrances, floor fragrances, cold & hot towel fragrances etc. We also provide customised solutions for any fragrance requirements of our clients.
